Lately we had a lot of characters that are important to Gensokyo both directly and indirectly. Junko almost caused the downfall of Gensokyo (Also the Earth) with her invasion along Hecatia. Directly, we got our third sage, and has a power that is very similar to Yukari's. I really want a story that involves how the three sages gathered and created the barrier of Gensokyo (I imagine Okina must be the oldest of the three sages and met Yukari first) I really look forward to the Lore of Okina :3

It's true that Yukari's boundaries between stuff are similar to the ability to give a boost in power from the back as well as being able to manage Gensokyo's nature balance by the same way. This sage's subordinates are also the same as shrine maidens, they serve gods who grant them their abilities, they also use amulets in battle. Plus since Okina can create new youkai and since Yukari is one, it's possible that Okina created her and gave her the choice of her name since Yukari did choose her own name.
We ARE going to get a story about okina and kasen, most likely, seeing the lastest chapters of WaHH, so don't worry about that. Actually, okina is definitely younger than yukari. Okina was hata no kawakatsu, a human friend of miko when she was alive and the person who used kokoro's masks, which means okina is roughly 1500 years old. Yukari has been around for probably way more than that.
It's incertain for Yukari if she's older or younger than Okina, and as she doesn't represent only one entity like hata no kawakatsu or Matara-jin, she probably is older than that.
BraviNoname she is probably older or around the same age, but in either case okina is definitely 1444 years old or so, since hata no kawakatsu was alive when miko was alive, and we know how old miko was.
I look forward to the Stage 4 boss medley. I wonder what you'll do with Reimu and Marisa's multiple themes when the time comes given Marisa is a Stage 4 boss in 3 different installments.
